BTS’s Jungkook has achieved another groundbreaking milestone with his debut solo album ‘GOLDEN,’ officially becoming a “triple million-seller.”
According to the Circle Album Chart (run by the Korea Music Content Association), ‘GOLDEN’ has now surpassed 3 million cumulative sales, marking a new record for K-pop solo artists.
Both the World Music Awards (WMA) and Pop Core confirmed that ‘GOLDEN’ is the first solo album in Circle Chart history to exceed 3 million total sales — a feat no other solo artist has ever accomplished.

Released in November 2023, Jungkook’s ‘GOLDEN’ previously topped Circle Chart’s “Top 15 Physical Album Sales of 2023” with 2.7 million copies sold, ranking No. 1 among all K-pop soloists that year. Even more impressive, he achieved this record in less than two months after release, proving his unmatched global popularity and star power.
The album also received Double Million certification from Circle Chart for surpassing 2 million sales, while its Weverse version — available as a QR-coded platform album — earned Platinum certification after surpassing 250,000 copies sold.
Within just five hours of release, ‘GOLDEN’ sold over 2 million copies, becoming a double million-seller on day one and setting the highest first-week sales record for a K-pop solo artist. The album reached 2.5 million sales in only two weeks.

To date, Jungkook has accumulated a staggering 9.2 million album-equivalent sales (EAS) with ‘GOLDEN’ alone — making it the best-selling album by a K-pop solo artist in history.
In 2024, ‘GOLDEN’ was also recognized as the best-selling debut album by a male artist worldwide in the past decade, with 8.4 million total sales.
The album continues to dominate international charts. ‘GOLDEN’ became the first album by an Asian solo artist to stay on the Billboard 200 for 25 consecutive weeks, and it held a record 8-week run on the UK Official Albums Top 100, the longest for a K-pop soloist.
On Spotify, the album broke multiple streaming records — becoming the first Asian solo artist album and the fastest Asian studio album to surpass 6.2 billion total streams (unfiltered).
On iTunes, ‘GOLDEN’ hit No. 1 in 106 countries, topping the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart for 14 days and the European iTunes Chart for over a week. It also continues its incredible run on Apple Music, charting for more than 620 days worldwide and 530 days in Europe.
With these achievements, Jungkook’s ‘GOLDEN’ cements its place as one of the most successful and record-breaking solo albums in K-pop history.
