Actor Park Young Woon had nothing but praise for his co-star Lee Chae Min, revealing that the rising actor never made a single mistake with his lines while filming Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.
In a recent interview in Seoul following the drama’s successful finale, Park Young Woon reflected on his experience working on the hit tvN series.
The fantasy romantic comedy follows a chef who travels back in time and meets a tyrant king known for his perfect taste. Park Young Woon played Shin Soo Hyun, the loyal bodyguard who stands by the fiery and unpredictable king Lee Heon, portrayed by Lee Chae Min.
Park Young Woon shared how impressed he was by Lee Chae Min’s professionalism, saying, “Lee Chae Min had an incredible amount of dialogue since he’s the male lead, but he never once messed up his lines.”
He added, “I even asked him, ‘How do you memorize all that?’ and he said, ‘It just sticks in my head.’ I thought that was really amazing. He joined the project suddenly, but he handled everything so well.”
The actor also mentioned their tall height pairing became a fun topic on set. “I’m 189 cm and he’s 190 cm, so it was nice to finally look someone straight in the eye while filming,”
Park Young Woon said with a laugh. “We even joked about it sometimes. I’d tease him and say, ‘You’re not really 190, right?’”
He also shared how special it was to reunite with YoonA, whom he previously worked with in “The King in Love” back in 2017. “We became close during that drama, and meeting again in this one felt really comfortable,” he said.
“YoonA is still the same person I remember — kind, thoughtful, and always caring toward everyone on set. Thanks to her, I was able to adjust quickly and enjoy filming.”
Park Young Woon’s warm words for both his co-stars have earned praise from fans, showing the strong bond and teamwork behind the success of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.
