ELLE UK has finally spoken up after facing heavy criticism for leaving BLACKPINK’s Rosé out of a group photo from Paris Fashion Week, which sparked accusations of racism.
On October 3 (KST), the British fashion magazine released an apology on its social account, writing, “We sincerely apologise for a recent post from Paris Fashion Week in which Rosé of BLACKPINK was cropped from a group photo for size. We did not mean to offend anyone.”
They continued, “The post has been removed and ELLE UK remains committed to ensuring our future coverage represents the full spectrum of our audience we so greatly respect.”

The issue started after Rosé attended the Saint Laurent fashion show in Paris last September, where she caught attention in a sky-blue slip suit.
Despite being the only global ambassador of Saint Laurent among the stars, Rosé was the only one cropped out when ELLE UK uploaded the photo, which fueled controversy online.
Although ELLE UK later shared her solo photo with the caption, “The look that drew the most attention was Rosé’s silky loafer suit,” the lack of an official statement at that time brought further backlash.
