Actor Lee Chae Min has opened up about the pressure he faced when he suddenly replaced Park Sung Hoon in tvN’s hit drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.

In a recent interview after the finale, Lee Chae Min shared honestly, “It would be a lie to say I felt no pressure. I tried to prepare as much as I could in a short time, and I’m thankful many people noticed those efforts.”

He confessed that joining the project last minute left him anxious at first, but co-star YoonA became his biggest support. “Senior YoonA gave me a lot of courage."

He added, "She told me I was doing well like Lee Heon himself, which gave me great strength in the beginning. Our teamwork was very good, and she even gave me helpful suggestions.”

Lee Chae Min revealed he only had a month to get ready for the role. “I went to horseback riding lessons, calligraphy, and kept practicing repeatedly before filming."

He added, "I really cut down on sleep and kept studying. I watched a lot of reference videos, read the script again and again, and tried different speech styles.”

His hard work paid off, as he was praised by viewers as “Lee Heon himself” and earned strong support from his family as well.

He smiled, “Hearing comments like that made me proud. My younger sister even texted me, ‘You worked hard,’ which meant a lot because she usually doesn’t say things like that.”

Despite the tough schedule, Lee Chae Min turned the challenge into an opportunity, showing his dedication to the role and winning over audiences with his performance.
