YoonA and Lee Chae Min’s drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty is breaking records both in Korea and around the world.
The tvN weekend drama has been unstoppable since its premiere, with ratings more than doubling by its second week—what many call a “quantum jump.”
The show has continued to climb, topping all channels in its time slot for four weeks straight and reaching a peak rating of 18.1% in the Seoul area.
Viewers can’t get enough of the drama’s fresh mix of time-slip fantasy and traditional Korean cuisine, the detailed directing of Jang Tae Yoo, and the explosive chemistry between YoonA (as chef Yun Ji Young) and Lee Chae Min (as King Lee Heon).
The numbers speak for themselves. On TVING, it took #1 in VOD views during its entire broadcast run. It also held the top spot for five straight weeks in drama buzz rankings, with YoonA ranking #1 in actor buzz and Lee Chae Min topping brand reputation charts. Gallup Korea even named it Koreans’ favorite TV program for September 2025.
Globally, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty has made history as the first tvN drama ever to reach #1 on Netflix’s Non-English TV shows chart for two weeks in a row.
The online response has been just as huge. Videos related to the drama across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok have already surpassed 650 million views, with fans recreating dishes and iconic moments from the show, proving its viral power beyond language and cultural barriers.
A CJ ENM representative shared, “With the star power of world star YoonA and rising star Lee Chae Min, along with the perfect mix of romance, comedy, fantasy, and history, the drama is being praised globally for bringing both comfort and freshness.”
