Actress Son Ye Jin made fans laugh with her playful “revenge” on Lee Byung Hun at the press screening for director Park Chan Wook’s new film No Choice.
The event took place on September 22 at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul, with cast members Lee Byung Hun, Son Ye Jin, Park Hee Soon, Lee Sung Min, Yum Hye Ran, and director Park Chan Wook in attendance.
No Choice tells the story of Man Soo (Lee Byung Hun), an office worker who seems to have it all until he is suddenly fired. In order to protect his wife (Son Ye Jin), their children, and the home they worked so hard for, he starts a desperate fight to get re-employed.
During the Q&A, Lee Byung Hun praised Son Ye Jin, saying, “Our families are close, so we had no awkwardness, but this was the first time acting together. As expected, she delivered emotions perfectly, and I was amazed many times.”
Son Ye Jin warmly returned the praise but couldn’t resist adding a lighthearted tease. She said, “What surprised me most was how he acted so effortlessly, without putting in any strength at all. It was amazing to see. But when we play golf together, he puts in so much strength that I thought, ‘He must be sore at home afterward.’ I even joked that maybe he uses up all his strength in golf, which is why he acts so effortlessly.”
Her witty jab drew big laughter from everyone at the event, especially since Lee Byung Hun had playfully teased her in an earlier briefing as well.
With their fun chemistry off screen, fans are even more excited to see the two acting as a married couple in No Choice, which premieres on September 24.
