Kim Go Eun showed her deep admiration for Park Ji Hyun while talking about their Netflix series You and Everything Else.
On September 22, the actress sat down for an interview in Seoul and opened up about her role as Eun Jung, the challenges of portraying her across her 20s, 30s, and 40s, and the special bond she formed with Park Ji Hyun during filming.
Kim Go Eun shared, “Back in Yumi’s Cells, we didn’t have much time to act together, but I always liked her as an actress. I even said, ‘She’s such a good actress, great casting choice.’”
She added, “In this drama, Sang Yeon’s role felt so important, and I actually thought of it as Sang Yeon’s story. She had such a wide emotional spectrum and big changes across decades, and Ji Hyun handled it so well. I found myself looking at Ji Hyun the way Eun Jung looked at Sang Yeon.”
She then revealed the sweet way Park Ji Hyun took care of her on set, saying, “Ji Hyun even took care of my physical condition a lot. In the freezing winter, she gifted me sets of thermal underwear and stylish fur boots I’d never seen before. I thought, ‘Wow, she’s so cool.’ My heart was really pounding.”
Her words highlighted not just the powerful chemistry the two actresses shared on-screen, but also their supportive friendship off-screen.
Fans have been touched by how naturally their bond seems to mirror that of You and Everything Else in the drama.
