“It’s not the end” GFRIEND reunites for 10th anniversary, raising hopes for future group activities

GFRIEND has reunited for the first time in 4 years, making fans emotional and hopeful about what’s next.

On their 10th debut anniversary, all six members — Sowon (Kim So Jung), Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji — stood together again, keeping their long-time promise to fans. The special comeback project included the release of Season of Memories and an Asia tour, marking their first full-group activities since 2021.

Debuting in 2015, GFRIEND quickly became one of K-pop’s representative 3rd-generation girl groups with hits like Glass Bead, Me Gustas Tu, Rough, and Time for the Moon Night. Known as the “Power Innocence” group, they collected over 70 music show wins and carved out a unique legacy despite coming from a mid-sized company.

After contracts with Source Music ended in 2021, the members went their separate ways — with VIVIZ (Eunha, SinB, Umji) redebuting, Yuju and Yerin going solo, and Sowon pursuing acting. Fans thought the group’s story had ended.

But now, with their surprise reunion, industry insiders say, “It’s not a complete end. GFRIEND can always come back together naturally on meaningful days.”

Just like Girls’ Generation and KARA, GFRIEND’s bond — and their fans’ love — is fueling hopes that this anniversary isn’t just nostalgia but the start of another chapter.
