SHINee’s Key touched viewers’ hearts as he paid a heartfelt visit to the National Cemetery in Yeongcheon to honor his late grandparents.

On the upcoming September 19 episode of MBC’s Home Alone, Key was seen arriving at the cemetery despite the heavy rain. Standing in front of their headstones, he softly greeted, “This is where my grandfather, who fought in the Korean War, and my grandmother rest… have you been well?”

He prepared fresh flowers and fruit as offerings, bowing deeply in respect. Key reflected, “Since my parents were working, my grandparents raised me.”

The idol also revealed a heartbreaking detail, saying, “My grandmother’s memorial day is on the same date as my birthday. For 2–3 years, I didn’t even want to see a birthday cake.”

As the rain began to fall again, Key shared one last memory: “Rainy days always remind me of my childhood with my grandmother.”

His words left viewers emotional, highlighting the deep bond between young Kibum and his late grandmother.
