I-DLE member Yuqi made fans laugh with her honest and fiery side while showing just how strong her Korean skills are.
On September 17, Yuqi appeared on KBS Cool FM’s Lee Eun Ji’s Music Plaza to promote her solo comeback. During the broadcast, a listener praised her Korean and joked that their husband would probably lose in an argument with her.
Yuqi confidently replied, “You might be surprised, but I’m even better when I fight. With people around me, company staff, or members, I speak very clearly and I’m really strong mentally, so I don’t lose. Honestly, when I get angry, I speak in Korean. If there’s a chance, let’s argue—I’m confident I’ll win.”
She admitted that arguing with her members actually helped her improve: “It’s true, I improved a lot by fighting.”
When asked if she still argues often, Yuqi shared that things have changed: “No. Miyeon even told me I’ve matured these days. My personality can be fiery, so my name really fits—I’m Yuqi, I’m funny, I get hot-tempered, it’s very me."
She added, "But since I’ve been busy with solo schedules, I don’t see the members often. When we finally meet, it feels precious, so we don’t fight anymore.”
Fans were once again impressed by her charm and wit, showing both her playful side and her determination to always speak up with confidence.
