Actor Lee Kwang Soo has revealed the reason behind his absence at Kim Jong Kook’s wedding — and it wasn’t because he wasn’t invited.
On September 15, reports confirmed that Lee Kwang Soo had been invited to Kim Jong Kook’s private wedding on September 5 in Gangnam, Seoul. However, he couldn’t attend as he was in Vietnam promoting his upcoming movie Love Barista, which premieres this October.
The wedding, which was revealed later through Kim Jong Kook’s YouTube channel Gym Jong Kook, had about 100 carefully selected guests.
Attendees included Running Man members Yoo Jae Suk, Haha, Ji Suk Jin, Song Ji Hyo, and Yang Se Chan, along with close friends Cha Tae Hyun, Jang Hyuk, Hong Kyung Min, Seo Jang Hoon, Joo Woo Jae, Kang Hoon, and Jonathan.
Fans noticed Lee Kwang Soo’s absence, especially given his 11-year history with Kim Jong Kook on Running Man, leading to speculation that he wasn’t invited. But the truth is clear — he was invited, just unable to attend due to schedule conflicts.
Meanwhile, the wedding itself was a heartfelt affair. Hosted by “Nation’s MC” Yoo Jae Suk, Kim Jong Kook even serenaded his bride with his hit song “Lovable”, creating a touching moment that left everyone emotional.
