EXO’s Kai opened up about which juniors he’d love to film challenge videos with, while also reacting to the so-called “Kai sunbaenim incident.”
In a video released on Esquire Korea’s YouTube channel on September 12, Kai smiled as he heard about the “incident,” which refers to how many junior idols get so nervous around him that they struggle to do challenge dances properly.
He laughed and said, “Is that really true?” before explaining, “During ‘ROVER’ promotions, so many juniors contacted me to do challenges."
He added, "I was thankful they worked so hard, so I tried even harder not to fall behind. Maybe that’s why they feel nervous dancing next to me.”
When asked who he’d like to film with in the future, Kai mentioned, “I became close with San during ‘ROVER’ activities, so I’d like to do another challenge with him."
He added, "Among my SM juniors, the NCT Wish members are really cute, so I want to try a cute challenge with them, even if it doesn’t suit me.”
He also added that while filming his new drama Criminal Record, he thought it would be fun to do a challenge with Lee Chang Sub.
Fans loved Kai’s playful answers, especially his mention of ATEEZ’s San and NCT Wish, which sparked excitement for possible future collabs.
