Actor Jang Dong Yoon, known as “Hanyang University’s model student,” surprised fans by confessing that he still hasn’t graduated from school even after 10 years.
On September 12, Jang Dong Yoon appeared on Ahn So Hee’s YouTube channel, where the two shared fun stories as fellow 1992-liners and labelmates under BH Entertainment.
During their talk, Ahn So Hee asked about his school life, and Jang Dong Yoon admitted, “Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to graduate yet. I’m still in my fourth year. I’ve been in my fourth year for 10 years now. It sounds like a drama title — ‘10 years as a senior.’” He laughed, showing a bit of shyness.
The actor, who majored in Economics and Finance at Hanyang University, was once famous in Daegu as a top student.
Back in 2015, while still enrolled, he even appeared on SBS News after bravely catching a robber at a convenience store.
His good looks and quick action earned him the nickname “the handsome student who caught a robber,” which opened the door to many casting offers. He later lost 7 kg and officially debuted as an actor.
