Veteran actress Lee Mi Sook is back with another star-studded project.
On September 11, Star News confirmed that Lee Mi Sook will star in MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama In Your Brilliant Season. Her agency Hunus Entertainment also stated, “It is true that Lee Mi Sook will appear in In Your Brilliant Season.”
The drama tells the story of a man who loses both his memory and hearing in an accident, and a woman who becomes like his salvation. The project is directed by Jung Sang Hee of Wonderful World (2024) and written by Jo Sung Hee, who is returning after the well-loved Still 17 (2018). With this lineup, expectations are already running high.
Lee Mi Sook, now in her 48th year since debut, continues to prove her influence with steady roles. She is currently appearing in the Disney+ original Polaris alongside Jun Ji Hyun, and now she’s set to lead another drama with Lee Sung Kyung and Chae Jong Hyeop.
Lee Sung Kyung had been reviewing the role since last year, and on September 11, her agency Fantagio confirmed, “Lee Sung Kyung has finalized her decision to appear in In Your Brilliant Season.”
Rising actor Chae Jong Hyeop will also star, adding to the buzz over the cast lineup. Actress Go Hae Won, who first gained attention on Girls Planet 999 under her real name Lee Hye Won, will take on the role of young Lee Sung Kyung’s character.
With Lee Mi Sook’s trusted acting, Lee Sung Kyung’s star power, and Chae Jong Hyeop’s growing popularity, In Your Brilliant Season is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated dramas of 2025.
