Soyou, former SISTAR member, has finally spoken up about the plastic surgery rumors surrounding her.
On September 11, she uploaded a video titled “Soyou, plastic surgery? I’ll settle the rumors” on her YouTube channel SOYOUGI.
She explained, “These days, I’ve lost a lot of weight, and people keep asking, ‘Could losing weight alone change her that much?’ But instead of feeling bad, I actually felt good.” Soyou recently shed 10kg, which led to rumors about cosmetic procedures.
Addressing the lip filler speculation, she said, “Some people say I got lip fillers, but if I don’t wear makeup, I look exactly the same as before. Look—it’s the same, right?”
She confidently showed her bare face and added, “I don’t have full lips, so without makeup, they look the same. I never got lip fillers.”
She even shared a funny story: “During a recording, a guest once asked me, ‘Can I ask you something? Where did you get your lips done?’ So I told them, ‘If I wipe off my makeup, there are no lips. It’s all makeup.’”
Soyou admitted she doesn’t take the plastic surgery comments negatively, saying, “Some even commented, ‘Did she completely change her whole face?’ But when I read those comments, I actually feel good. It makes me think, ‘I really lost weight well.’ Losing weight definitely made my features look sharper.”
Ending with a smile, she said, “I want to thank those who leave comments about plastic surgery. The truth is, I just transform with makeup.”
