BTS’s Jungkook has received a public love call from a well-known Chinese star!
During an interview for his new album Maladjustment, popular Chinese actor-singer Zhang Xincheng revealed the artists he dreams of inviting as special guests for his concert. Among them, he proudly named BTS’s Jungkook, along with Jay Chou, Billie Eilish, and Lady Gaga.
This isn’t the first time Zhang has shown his admiration. Back in 2020, he even copied Jungkook’s fashion style from the Dynamite music video, making his fan spirit clear.
Meanwhile, Jungkook continues to prove his incredible impact in China with massive achievements. At the China Year End Awards 2024, he won his 6th trophy overall at the show, taking Best Selling English Male Single with his self-composed track Never Let Go.
The year before, at the China Year End Awards 2023, Jungkook swept five categories, including Best Selling Solo K-pop Album (Golden), Best Selling Male K-pop Single (Seven), and Best Selling Collaboration Single. He was the artist with the most wins of the night.
He also picked up the title of Most Popular Male Singer in Asia at the 38th Huading Global Music Awards, further cementing his dominance.
On China’s biggest music platform QQ Music, Never Let Go debuted at No.1 on both daily and weekly sales charts and earned a Gold certification. His solo album Golden also made history as the only album by a K-pop male soloist to surpass 3 million yuan in sales on the platform in 2023, gaining a Triple Platinum certification.
With his unmatched records and overwhelming popularity, Jungkook continues to prove why he’s one of the most loved and influential artists not just in Korea, but across China and the world.
