Lee Hyori is keeping things simple and humble for the opening of her yoga studio.
On September 8, the official SNS of her yoga studio shared several reposted photos from neighbors and visitors.
One picture showed rice cakes believed to have been personally handed out by Lee Hyori, with a note that read:
“(Lee) Hyo Ri, who opened a yoga studio just 1 minute away, gave us rice cakes. Wishing you success,” suggesting she personally delivered them.
The yoga studio, located in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, has already gained attention after Lee Hyori made it clear she would reject all sponsorships and gifts.
Talking about her new beginning, Lee Hyori explained:
“Actually, I first started a yoga studio in 2016. For me, this is just moving the location to Seoul, so I didn’t expect to get so much attention. I’m thankful once again.”
She added, “In Jeju, the yoga studio was a place where people could come and go freely without reservations. But in Seoul, I have no choice but to run it by reservation. This excitement will calm down in time, and until then, I will continue training calmly as always, so no one feels too tired or overwhelmed. I also miss my teacher and the fellow practitioners I trained with in Jeju. I will try to do well with what I learned.”
Meanwhile, Lee Hyori married musician Lee Sang Soon in 2013, and the couple recently moved back to Seoul after living in Jeju for 11 years.
