BIGBANG’s Daesung gave fans a good laugh with his recent visit to YG Entertainment’s new headquarters cafeteria.
On September 5, a video was uploaded to his YouTube channel Zip Daesung, showing the singer heading to the 2nd floor cafeteria along with TREASURE’s Junkyu, Yoon Jae Hyuk, and Yoshi.
The moment Daesung stepped out of the elevator, the TREASURE members warmly greeted him. Daesung even playfully mentioned Yoshi’s Korean name, Kim Bang Jeon, causing Yoshi to kneel down in excitement.
Together, they went to the cafeteria inside the new building. When Daesung saw the crowd of people, he hesitated and joked, “Is this okay? Can I go in?” while pushing Junkyu ahead of him to lead the way.
After getting his food, Daesung smiled and said, “All men will know this taste — this is exactly army-style pork belly,” before happily digging into his meal.
When asked which cafeteria food he preferred — the old building or the new one — Daesung replied, “The style is different. Here, it feels a bit more refined. Back in the old building, it was more like home-cooked meals. Since fewer people ate there, if you said, ‘Auntie, I want pork belly,’ they would grill it for you right on the pan.”
Junkyu then asked, “Wasn’t the old cafeteria kind of dark?” Daesung burst into laughter, saying, “Yeah, it was dark, with water leaking everywhere. You didn’t need to go to Niagara Falls. Why even bother going to America?” making everyone laugh even more.
Later, while wrapping fresh vegetables into a ssam, Daesung commented, “I’m a veggie lover, and the vegetables here are really fresh.”
Junkyu added, “Sunbaenim, you seem a bit different. When you first started Zip Daesung, you had this fiery senior vibe, but today you feel different.” Daesung jokingly responded, “So what?” leaving the room full of laughter.
