Sunmi is setting the record straight about long-running rumors of a fallout with her former agency head Park Jin Young (JYP).
On September 2, the YouTube channel TEO dropped a teaser for next week’s episode featuring Sunmi as a guest.
In the clip, she opened up about love, breakups, and her past with JYP. When asked if painful breakups were worth it for the sake of creating a masterpiece, Sunmi sighed and joked, “First I need to date,” drawing laughter from the cast.
She then explained her dating style, saying, “I can’t stand the talking stage. Why drag it out? Just do it quickly. Are we dating or not? If not, get lost.”
Addressing the rumor that JYP cut ties with her because of her “all in” approach to relationships, Sunmi firmly clarified:
“I really want to explain this. That only happened once. It was in my very first relationship. That was the end of it.”
When talk shifted to her ideal type, Sunmi admitted she’s drawn to a certain face shape. Jang Do Yeon jokingly asked if it was JYP himself, to which Sunmi burst out, “No!” — making everyone laugh again.
