Moon Ga Young is showing a new side of herself — not just as an actress, but also as a writer.
The star recently graced the digital cover of Elle’s September issue, where she also talked about publishing her first essay book.
When asked how she keeps her true self despite growing up in the spotlight, Moon Ga Young shared, “Keeping records, whether diaries or notes, helps me understand myself. When I was younger, it felt burdensome that people expected consistency from me, but now I’ve accepted that it’s okay not to be consistent. After that, I felt much more comfortable.”
She added, “When I write, I feel truly free, and that’s my most honest self.”
As someone who began acting as a child and has grown into one of Korea’s most recognized actresses, Moon Ga Young revealed that writing allows her to reflect deeply, stay grounded, and express her truest thoughts.
Meanwhile, in her Elle cover photoshoot, she appeared with minimal makeup, showcasing natural glowing skin and sharing a genuine image with fans.
