BTS’s Jin has once again proven his overwhelming influence by winning big at the 2025 Brand of the Year Awards.
On August 28, it was officially announced that Jin took home the award for Male Variety Idol of the Year.
Celebrating its 23rd year, the Brand of the Year Awards is run by the Korea Consumer Forum. Every year, winners are chosen through a nationwide consumer vote. Jin earned the title after receiving massive support from the public between June 30 and July 13, proving his brand power is stronger than ever.

Adding to the celebration, Jin’s first Netflix original variety show “Kian’s Bizarre B&B (Daehwanjang Kianjang)” also won in the OTT Variety Program category, giving him a double victory.
The show, which premiered in April, made history by ranking #1 in Korea’s Netflix TOP 10 Series — a rare feat for a variety program that is usually dominated by dramas. It also reached #6 on Netflix’s Global TOP 10 Non-English Series (April 7–13), becoming the first Korean original variety (non-reality survival) program to enter the global charts.
Jin’s popularity was further highlighted when Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex ranked him #1 in the Non-Drama TV-OTT Performer Buzz Ranking for the third week of April.

Director Jung Hyo Min, who previously worked on Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast, revealed that casting Jin before his military discharge wasn’t easy because he was already receiving endless offers.
He expressed gratitude, saying Jin still adjusted his schedule to stay nearly 10 days in Ulleungdo for the filming.

Castmate Kian84 also praised Jin, calling him a “world mental pillar” who kept the program steady during tough moments and even worked like an all-around staff member.
Aside from Kian’s Bizarre B&B, Jin also made appearances on other variety shows such as JTBC’s Please Take Care of My Refrigerator in July, where he impressed viewers with his visuals, polite manners, and witty talk.
With his main career as the “Live King” and his growing presence in advertisements and variety shows, Jin continues to shine as one of Korea’s most loved stars.
