Lee Jong Suk is melting hearts with his loyalty to broadcaster Ha Ji Young.
On August 27, the YouTube channel YouTube Ha Ji Young uploaded a video featuring the actor as a guest. The two enjoyed a chicken stew meal together while sharing stories from the past.
When staff asked him, “Why are you appearing here instead of on ‘You Quiz on the Block’?” Lee Jong Suk immediately answered, “Why? Ha Ji Young over ‘You Quiz on the Block,’ of course.” His reply showed just how much he values their bond.
The two first met in 2013 during a commercial shoot. Ha Ji Young looked back on the moment, saying, “I still can’t forget that day. He was sweating a lot above his lip and didn’t know what to do. His ears and face turned red, and I thought, ‘I need to help him.’ So I put down my script to assist him.”
Lee Jong Suk added, “Now, after more than ten years of working, I feel like I can handle things better. But back then, if interviews had gotten a bit tougher, I might have collapsed."
He added, "Both you and my close friend Kim Woo Bin noticed and helped me a lot at the time. Now, at least, I’ve become a proper celebrity.”
He also revealed how grateful he is for her support, saying, “I usually don’t appear on variety shows, but when I sent her a message, she immediately said she’d come, which really surprised me. I always feel indebted to her. I’m always grateful for the care she gives me.”
