Will Lee Soo Hyuk be acting alongside Suzy in a new drama?
On August 26, a representative from Lee Soo Hyuk’s agency shared, “Lee Soo Hyuk is positively reviewing an offer to appear in Men of the Harem (written by Hwang Jin Young / directed by Lee Eung Bok)”.
The series is based on a popular web novel and tells the story of Latil, the empress of the Tarium Empire, who takes in male consorts to protect her throne.
The project is already gaining buzz as it brings together director Lee Eung Bok, known for hits like Descendants of the Sun, Goblin, Mr. Sunshine, and Netflix’s Sweet Home, with writer Hwang Jin Young, who recently penned MBC’s Lovers.
The lead role of Empress Latil has reportedly been offered to Suzy, who is currently considering the role, raising anticipation for a star-studded cast.
Meanwhile, earlier reports claimed that Dex had already been confirmed to play one of Latil’s consorts, but this was later denied.
If confirmed, Men of the Harem could bring Suzy and Lee Soo Hyuk together in a palace romance fantasy that’s already drawing plenty of attention.
