Actors Kim Hee Sun and Ha Seok Jin have reunited after two decades, bringing back memories of their early days together.
On the August 26 broadcast of JTBC’s Let’s Eat Dinner Together, Ha Seok Jin appeared as a guest, surprising Kim Hee Sun, who greeted him warmly with, “Oh my, what a surprise.”
She revealed it had been 20 years since they last met, following her reunion with actor Lee Jin Wook just recently after 19 years.
The two first worked together in the 2005 MBC drama Sad Love Song. When Ha Seok Jin asked if she remembered him, Kim Hee Sun replied, “Of course I do. That was your debut work. You played a singer, but in the drama, you appeared as my manager.”
She continued, “Since you were my manager in the story, we were always in the same car, so we talked a lot. I asked how you debuted, and you said you were an engineering student."
She added, "It was such a different field from acting, so it stuck in my memory. Back then, I was in my mid-to-late 20s, and now we’re meeting again in our 40s.”
Looking at her closely, Ha Seok Jin was amazed and said, “Your face looks exactly the same. It’s incredible. After that drama, I only ever saw you on TV.”
To lighten the mood, Tak Jae Hoon joked, “This program isn’t just Let’s Eat Dinner Together—it feels like a reunion show for long-lost families, or TV Carries Love”, making everyone laugh.
