Actresses Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun are winning hearts with their bond as co-stars in the upcoming Netflix original series You and Everything Else.

The two recently teamed up for a photoshoot and interview with Elle, where they opened up about their connection and the emotions they felt while working together.

The drama You and Everything Else follows the lives of two women, from their teens to their 40s, as they navigate friendship, admiration, and resentment. The Elle shoot, themed around “unforgettable moments,” highlighted their striking visuals and subtle chemistry.

During the interview, Park Ji Hyun revealed how much she admired Kim Go Eun, “I’ve been a passionate fan of actress Kim Go Eun. When I first saw her on set during Yumi’s Cells, I couldn’t say a single word. Later, when I found out I’d be acting with her, I thought, ‘Is this a dream or real life?’”

Meanwhile, Kim Go Eun recalled their first meeting, saying: “I remember trying to talk to Ji Hyun casually, but she was very shy. Even though she has a chic look, I always thought she was a very delicate actress. She was such a reliable partner.”

Kim Go Eun also reflected on her recent projects, including Love in the Big City, sharing, “By chance, I ended up filming Love in the Big City and You and Everything Else back-to-back. Both works focus on friendship, and that year I reflected a lot on my own friendships, which made the projects feel even more special.”

Speaking about her character Sang Yeon, Park Ji Hyun added: “Conflicts in relationships don’t always come from bad intentions — they can come from misunderstandings or emotions piling up. This drama captures those details, like a butterfly effect. To me, it even feels like a ‘romance between friends.’”

Both actresses also left heartfelt messages for each other. Kim Go Eun said: “This story is about fully accepting each other until the end. I was glad Ji Hyun was Sang Yeon. There’s great comfort in acting alongside such a skilled partner.”

Park Ji Hyun returned the love, saying: “Just seeing unnie’s face made me tear up. I was so glad she was Eun Joong. She’s someone who can do everything well.”

Netflix’s You and Everything Else will premiere on September 12.
