TV CHOSUN has released the first look at Confidence Man KR, showing Park Min Young and Park Hee Soon in their boldest transformations yet.
The new weekend mini-series, premiering on September 6, follows three talented con artists who use their unique skills to trick today’s villains in a fun and stylish caper comedy.
Park Min Young plays Yoon I Rang, the leader of the con artist trio. With an IQ of 165 and part of the top 1%, her character is full of wit and playful energy. Park Hee Soon takes on the role of James, the wise “pillar” of the group, with a cool French-inspired charisma. Together, they make up a duo that promises explosive chemistry.
In the first stills, Yoon I Rang stuns as an “irresistible casino boss” in a flowing hanbok with a sharp gaze that shows her power in a psychological battle. Meanwhile, James shocks viewers as a “legendary 60s dealer”, sporting messy white hair, a long beard, and traditional robes, giving off an eccentric yet striking aura.
On set, the two actors reportedly had such natural chemistry that it was hard to believe this was their first time acting together. Park Min Young teased Park Hee Soon for his drastic look, creating laughter, while Park Hee Soon enjoyed taking fun photos in his disguise.
The production team praised, “Just having Park Min Young and Park Hee Soon in one frame makes hearts race. Whatever you expect, their performance will exceed it. Please look forward to them.”
Confidence Man KR is directed by Nam Ki Hoon (Casino, Kiss Sixth Sense) and written by Hong Seung Hyun (Criminal Minds) and Kim Da Hye, known for their detailed writing and creativity. With a star-studded cast including Park Min Young, Park Hee Soon, and Joo Jong Hyuk, the drama is already being called one of the most anticipated projects of late 2025.
The drama will premiere on September 6 at 9:10 PM KST on TV CHOSUN and Coupang Play, and will also be available globally through Amazon Prime Video in 240 regions (excluding Korea).
