Entertainer Haha was left in shock after learning the age of IVE Liz’s mother.
On the August 23rd broadcast of MBC’s variety show Hangout with Yoo? (episode 294), the 15 finalists of the “80s MBC Seoul Song Festival” were introduced.
That day, the mystery contestant known as “New York Bakery” was revealed to be none other than IVE’s Liz.
When asked how she felt about joining since she didn’t experience the 80s era, Liz shared, “It was hard to pick songs, but my mom liked many of them”, mentioning legendary singers Lee Sun Hee and Lee Moon Se.
Curious, Haha asked, “Excuse me, but how old is your mother?” When Liz replied, “She was born in 1977”, Haha immediately shouted in surprise, “She’s only two years older than me!”
Meanwhile, Park Myung Soo jokingly misheard and said, “So your mom is my friend,” but Yoo Jae Suk quickly corrected him, laughing, “She’s actually younger than you.”
