BIGBANG has reunited to mark their 19th debut anniversary, bringing fans plenty of nostalgia and laughter.
On August 19, Daesung’s YouTube channel Jib Daesung released a preview video titled BIGBANG 19th Anniversary Home Sweet Home Party.
In the clip, G-Dragon took on the role of MC, filling in for Daesung who usually hosts the channel. At first, he looked a bit awkward, asking, “Where should I look at the camera?” and fumbling with the cue cards, which made everyone laugh.
Once he got comfortable, G-Dragon began introducing the members. Speaking about Taeyang, he said, “He’s charismatic and looks amazing on stage. But he’s also the most unique.” When it was Daesung’s turn, G-Dragon joked, “There’s a lot I could say about this guy, but simply put, he’s just naughty,” making everyone on set burst into laughter.
When Daesung asked him to introduce him normally, G-Dragon replied, “Who asked me to be the MC anyway?” before teasing, “He’s someone who copies me a lot these days.” He then warmly described them as “my members, my brothers, my sources of inspiration.”
The three members also decided to playfully rename the channel from Jib Daesung to Jib Dae Sun and exchanged commemorative plaques for their 19th anniversary. Looking at the shiny plaques, Daesung joked, “These could be used as mood lights,” only for G-Dragon to tease back, “What kind of mood do you need?” leaving everyone laughing.
They later blew out candles on a three-tier cake prepared by the staff. Daesung added another funny moment by saying, “From next year, I can proudly drink alcohol. I’ve been holding back until now,” which had the members cracking up.
Meanwhile, the full anniversary party video will be released on August 22, with special guests including 2NE1’s CL, actor Go Kyung Pyo, and SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi joining the celebration.
