BLACKPINK’s Lisa made headlines worldwide after showing her love for Labubu with a bold and unforgettable stage look.
On August 16 (local time), during the second night of BLACKPINK’s “DEADLINE” world tour concert at Wembley Stadium in London, Lisa stunned fans when she appeared in a custom Labubu-inspired outfit for her solo stage “Thunder.”
She rocked a fluffy pink skirt and matching top decorated with a rare Labubu keychain, paired with a pink mask resembling the character. Lisa completed the outfit with a Lori Lockmore chain belt and furry boots, perfectly channeling Labubu’s iconic fuzzy vibe.

The performance immediately went viral, with fans affectionately nicknaming her “Labubu’s mom.”
Social media was flooded with comments:
- “POP MART’s next Labubu collection should be with Lisa—she made it trendy!”
- “Labubu mother, that’s it.”
- “Lisa’s Labubu collection is probably coming soon.”
Other fans gushed, “Lisa as Labubu is legendary,” “So iconic,” and “Lisa is both a rockstar and Labubu’s mom!”
Lisa’s connection with Labubu is nothing new. She once revealed in a Vanity Fair interview, “At first, I hesitated to spend money on just a toy, but once I bought one, I went crazy and spent all my money on it.”
Since Lisa began showing off her Labubu collection on SNS in April 2024, the character’s popularity skyrocketed. In China alone, sales increased more than tenfold. International media such as Vogue Italia have even credited Lisa for making Labubu a global trend.
Labubu, designed in 2015 by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, is a fluffy character with sharp teeth and a mischievous smile. While it wasn’t a hit when POP MART first launched it in 2019, Lisa’s love turned it into their No.1 best-selling figure.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s Wembley show wasn’t just about Lisa’s Labubu moment. Jisoo performed tracks from her new album “Amortage,” Rosé sang her hit “APT,” and Jennie wowed the crowd with her viral single “Like Jennie.” The group also performed fan-favorites like “Kill This Love,” “BOOMBAYAH,” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”
BLACKPINK’s “DEADLINE” world tour kicked off on July 5 in Goyang, Korea, and will run until January 2026, wrapping up in Hong Kong.
