IVE’s Liz revealed a funny but slightly embarrassing behind-the-scenes story from the group’s big stage at Lollapalooza Berlin.
On the August 17 episode of KBS2’s variety show Crazy Rich Koreans, IVE appeared as guests and shared what really happened during their recent performance at one of the world’s biggest music festivals.
Liz confessed that she had a tough time managing her hairstyle in front of 50,000 fans. She explained, “I had a hairpiece on my bangs, but because it was raining and I was dancing, it got hot, I started sweating, and it kept slipping down. I thought, ‘Ah, this isn’t going to work. It’s better to take it off myself than for it to fall during the performance.’ So I pulled it off, but then only a few strands of bangs were left, like something chewed by a rat.”
Host Jun Hyun Moo teased, “So it looked like you were losing hair,” making Liz laugh as she admitted, “It wasn’t that bad, but it was a little embarrassing.”
But her fellow members quickly came to her defense. Gaeul shared, “It actually looked kind of cool,” while Rei added, “You were still pretty,” showing love and support for Liz even in the moment.
Jun Hyun Moo jokingly wrapped it up by saying, “You’re all such ‘lucky Vickys,’” making everyone laugh.
Despite the small mishap, fans agreed that Liz still looked stunning and professional on stage, proving once again why IVE continues to shine on the global stage.
