BTS’s golden maknae Jungkook has done it again — proving his global superstar power by winning International Song of the Year at the 2025 SEC Awards, marking his third straight year taking home the honor.
The SEC Awards, hosted by Brazilian entertainment site Seriesemcena, announced the winners through its official website and social media channels.
Jungkook won the prestigious award with his self-composed track “Never Let Go”, a digital single he originally dedicated to fans, showing once again that his music connects deeply with listeners around the world.

This win makes it a three-year streak for Jungkook:
- 2023 – “Left and Right”
- 2024 – “Seven”
- 2025 – “Never Let Go”
At the 2024 SEC Awards, Jungkook also swept multiple categories, including International Song of the Year, International Male Artist of the Year, and International Feat of the Year. The year before, in 2023, he bagged International Male Artist of the Year alongside International Song of the Year.

Even as a fan-dedicated song, Never Let Go continues to shine on global charts. It has already surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify, debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, No. 20 on the Billboard Global 200, and even secured spots on the UK charts — peaking at No. 60 on the Official Singles Chart Top 100, No. 3 on the Singles Sales Chart, and No. 1 on the Singles Download Chart.
Jungkook’s award streak doesn’t stop there. He recently won at the 2025 BMI Pop Awards for “3D” and “Standing Next to You” in the Most Performed Songs of the Year category. At the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, he was crowned K-Pop Artist of the Year and won Best Music Video for “Seven”, becoming the Asian solo artist with the most awards in the event’s history.
He also became the first and only Asian artist to win The Male Artist of the Year at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, and picked up three trophies at the Billboard Music Awards between 2023 and 2024, making him the most awarded K-pop soloist in BBMA history.
Billboard has also named Jungkook No. 1 on its K-Pop Artist 100 for 2024 and included him in its Greatest Pop Stars of 2023 list, cementing his legacy as one of the biggest global acts of this generation.
