Global girl group KATSEYE is showing explosive growth, achieving streaming numbers on par with some of the biggest names in K-pop.

According to HYBE and Geffen Records on August 16, KATSEYE recorded 25,175,911 monthly listeners on Spotify between July 17 and August 13. This milestone places them right behind BTS, BLACKPINK, and TWICE. Considering the group only just entered their second year since debut, the achievement is nothing short of remarkable.

When KATSEYE first promoted their debut EP SIS (Soft Is Strong) in August–September 2024, they had around 8.19 million monthly listeners. Their steady growth pushed the number past 10 million earlier this year, and following the release of their second EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS in June, their global reach skyrocketed.

Their tracks are also charting worldwide. Gabriela climbed to 77th on the UK Official Singles Top 100 (August 15–21), staying on the chart for six straight weeks. On Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global (August 8–14), Gabriela ranked 23rd while Gnarly ranked 77th.

Gnarly in particular has proven its staying power — surpassing 100 million streams in just 52 days and now nearing 200 million. Gabriela also hit 100 million streams in only 38 days. Together, KATSEYE’s 13 released songs have already surpassed 1 billion total streams on Spotify.

Beyond streaming, the group is gaining recognition for their powerful live performances. They recently wowed tens of thousands at Lollapalooza Chicago, earning praise from local media and critics, and will take the stage at Summer Sonic 2025 in Tokyo on August 17.

Formed through the global audition project The Debut: Dream Academy, jointly produced by HYBE and Geffen Records, KATSEYE consists of six members and debuted in the U.S. Their second EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 (July 12 issue), with both Gnarly and Gabriela entering the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time.
