BTS’s V is proving his unmatched global power with yet another streaming milestone.

As of August 14, the songs listed under V’s official Spotify profile have collectively surpassed 5 billion credited streams on the world’s largest music streaming platform. His discography includes tracks from his first solo album Layover, OSTs, and self-composed songs — each carrying his unique musical color, separate from BTS’s group work.

Layover made history as the first K-pop solo album where every track surpassed 100 million Spotify streams, showcasing both artistic quality and mass appeal. On Spotify’s global weekly chart, all songs from the album also ranked at #1.

The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and became the first K-pop solo album to have all its tracks enter both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts. It also earned Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, while Love Me Again and Slow Dancing received Gold certifications from the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ).

V also holds the record for the most songs by a K-pop solo artist with over 400 million Spotify streams, with six tracks:

  • Love Me Again (1.07 billion)
  • FRI(END)S (529.4 million)
  • Slow Dancing (524.5 million)
  • Christmas Tree (462.6 million)
  • Sweet Night (431.5 million)
  • Winter Bear (410.2 million)

Among these, Love Me Again has joined Spotify’s Billion Streams Club.

According to ChartMasters, V’s Spotify account currently has 19,842,380 followers — the highest for any K-pop solo artist and the 4th highest among all K-pop acts. Globally, only 127 artists have more than 19 million followers on the platform.
