Park Bo Young is receiving major recognition for her acting, earning the 2025 Bechdelian Actor Award for her outstanding performance in the drama Our Unwritten Seoul.
Bechdel Day 2025 — a content festival celebrating gender equality in Korean films and series — announced this year’s winners in the series category, and Park Bo Young stood out among the honorees.
Judge Lee Hwa Jung, programmer of Bechdel Day, praised her work, saying, “Our Unwritten Seoul is both the ultimate showcase of Park Bo Young’s acting so far and a signal of her expanded future as an actress."
Lee Hwa Jung added, "Including the way she plays each character against the other, she effectively takes on a total of four roles in one. Park Bo Young tackles this extremely challenging performance with meticulous technique.”

In the series, Park Bo Young delivers an unforgettable portrayal of “Miji,” a woman who has shut herself away from the world, and “Mirae”, her fraternal twin who is trying to build walls to keep the world out.
Through her deeply emotional performance, Miji’s journey to Seoul becomes not only brave and heart-wrenching, but also a story that leaves the word “comfort” etched into viewers’ hearts.
The Bechdelian awards recognize notable works and figures that showcase strong female narratives and characters.
Park Bo Young’s win marks a significant milestone in her career, with critics seeing Our Unwritten Seoul as proof of her incredible range and as a hint at an even more ambitious future ahead.
