“MZ wannabe icons” IVE (Ahn Yu Jin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) are ready to dominate the summer with their brand-new comeback.
On August 12, Starship Entertainment dropped the tracklist for IVE’s 4th mini album IVE SECRET, set for release on August 25, through the group’s official social media accounts.
The album will feature six tracks — the title song XOXZ, Wild Bird, Dear, My Feelings, GOTCHA (Baddest Eros), 삐빅 (♥beats), and Midnight Kiss.
This marks IVE’s first release in about seven months since their 3rd mini album IVE EMPATHY in February. Adding a personal touch, Jang Wonyoung participated in writing the lyrics for the title track XOXZ, while Liz penned lyrics for Midnight Kiss, giving fans even more of IVE’s signature style.
Lyricist Seo Ji Eum — who’s known for creating IVE’s iconic “narcissism” concept — also worked on XOXZ. She previously teamed up with Jang Wonyoung on Attitude from IVE EMPATHY, a pairing that delivered strong results, making fans excited for another hit.
According to Starship, IVE SECRET will focus on the emotions hidden behind glamorous appearances, showing a different side of IVE’s confidence and evolving them into a more multidimensional group.
With their pre-release track REBEL HEART already achieving a Perfect All-Kill on major Korean charts, and Attitude leading the K-pop challenge trend earlier this year, expectations are sky-high for what IVE will deliver with IVE SECRET and its title song XOXZ.
IVE SECRET and XOXZ will be released on August 25 at 6 PM KST through major music platforms.
