Actor Chun Jung Myung warmed hearts with a story about his friendship with Go Hyun Jung.
On the August 13 episode of MBC’s Radio Star, the actor appeared alongside Lee Joo Seung, singer Jo Kwon, and MMA fighter Choi Hong Man.
During the show, Chun Jung Myung shared, “These days, you can use mobile phones in the military, but when I served, mobile phones weren’t allowed. Staying in touch with people was very precious.”
He then revealed, “If I called 10 people, 9 wouldn’t answer. Since it was a collect call, they wouldn’t pick up. But the only person who answered was Hyun Jung noona (Go Hyun Jung).”
According to him, she picked up every single time he called, and he was deeply grateful.
Host Kim Gura asked what they even talked about during those calls, and Chun Jung Myung laughed as he replied, “I’d just ask, ‘What are you doing? Were you filming? Were you at an appointment? How have you been lately?’”
Kim Gura recalled that Go Hyun Jung would often joke, “Jung Myung, let’s meet sometime,” showing how close they were.
When asked if they still keep in touch, Chun Jung Myung revealed, “One time, her phone suddenly disappeared, so after that, we could only contact each other through email or even fax,” surprising everyone.
Comedian Yoo Se Yoon then teased, “Maybe it’s because you kept making collect calls,” which made the whole studio burst into laughter.
