Actor Shin Seung Ho is stepping into new territory with his first-ever priest role in the upcoming mystery thriller Only God Knows Everything.
On August 13, during a press screening and talk session held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, the actor shared his thoughts ahead of the film’s release.
Set to premiere on August 22, the movie follows Do Woon (Shin Seung Ho), a newly ordained priest who hears a confession tied to the death of his missing mother. Caught between revenge and faith, he begins uncovering dark secrets along the way.
“This was a role I had never tried before, and with my limited personal experience, I really wanted to take on the challenge,” Shin Seung Ho explained.

“I thought it was a great opportunity to transform into a priest and a person of faith. I found it fascinating to portray someone torn between their religious beliefs and human emotions.”
He also shared that he wanted to break away from his usual on-screen image. “I’ve always thought my appearance seemed strong and heavy. But since the character is a priest, I wanted to show a softer side. Because I tend to look stern, I worked hard not to do that for this role.”
Only God Knows Everything will hit theaters on August 22.
