A brand-new girl group is officially here — and they’re already aiming straight for fans’ hearts.
On August 13 at 6 PM KST, rookie group AtHeart made their surprise debut, releasing their first EP Plot Twist on music platforms worldwide.
The title track, also called Plot Twist, is a hybrid dance song blending pop and EDM. Just like its name, the track takes listeners on a rollercoaster of emotions and unexpected changes.

Opening with a pure a cappella harmony from the members, the song loops back to a matching outro, creating the feeling of a complete story. Dreamy moments give way to explosive EDM drops, while the lyrics mirror that back-and-forth mood, making the song more addictive the more you listen.
The track is produced by Jonah Shy, known for working with Chapell Roan, Camila Cabello, and Shawn Mendes, with mixing by Grammy-winning engineer Rob Kinelski, famous for his work with Billie Eilish. Lyricists Jo Yoon Kyung and Bang Hye Hyun brought AtHeart’s unique emotions to life in the words.
The Plot Twist EP features five songs in total:
- Push Back — A dance track with Amapiano and Afrobeat influences, telling the story of growing feelings mixed with excitement and tension. Produced and co-written by Rykeyz, who has worked with Demi Lovato and Lisa.
- Dot Dot Dot... — A medium-tempo R&B track with minimal instrumentation, letting the members’ vocals shine while expressing emotions left unsaid.
- Knew Me — A modern pop track with dreamy rhythms and confident melodies. Produced by Sermstyle (Pitbull, Wiz Khalifa) and mixed by Manny Marroquin (Sabrina Carpenter, Charlie Puth).
- Good Girl (AtHeart) — A hyperpop-inspired track blending fierce and sweet vibes, expressing the bold desire to get closer to someone.
This debut marks what AtHeart calls their “first wingbeat” — a step into the world with a mix of confusion, excitement, and honesty packed into their music.
Even before debuting, the group built huge momentum with strong global fan support. Their official YouTube channel already has over 660,000 subscribers and more than 33 million views, and international outlets like Billboard, Variety, Teen Vogue, Sohu, and Yahoo! Japan have already named them “the K-pop group to watch in 2025.”
AtHeart will hold their first showcase at Seoul’s Blue Square SOL Travel Hall at 7:30 PM KST today, which will also be streamed live for fans worldwide on YouTube via AtHeart’s and M2’s official channels.
