Police are currently investigating BIGBANG’s G-Dragon (Kwon Ji Yong) and YG Entertainment’s executive producer Yang Hyun Suk over allegations of copyright law violation.
On August 12, Seoul Mapo Police Station confirmed they had launched the investigation after receiving a complaint from composer A back in November last year.
According to the complaint, composer A accused YG Entertainment of copying a song he had created without permission, then producing and distributing it as part of an album — an act he claims infringes on his copyright.
Police have already questioned several individuals related to the case and have conducted two search-and-seizure operations, including one at YG Entertainment’s headquarters.
