BTS’s V has finally given fans a peek into his personal life — from the items he always carries in his bag to his unique sleeping habits and heartfelt concert memories.
On August 11, W Korea posted a “What’s In My Bag” video titled First reveal! V’s real favorite items he brought all the way to Paris. Why did BTS’s V cry at J-Hope’s concert?
V’s first pick was a headset, explaining that he listens to music during workouts, while going out, before sleeping, and even on flights. In the mornings, he enjoys songs by Kenshi Yonezu — a choice inspired by his close friend, actor Park Hyung Sik, who once sang them live for him.

He also pulled out a workout strap, saying,
“I got this so I can work out safely. I used to do a three-day split, but now I do a two-day split. In the military, I exercised almost every day — at least six times a week. After discharge, I’m busier, so I try to work out steadily and healthily whenever I can.”
When asked about his strength, V smiled,
“The PT trainers who help me are huge, so my training is intense. I think I can lift quite a lot compared to my body weight.”
V also opened up about struggling with insomnia after his military discharge:
“In the military, when lights went out at 10 p.m., I slept well. But after discharge, having freedom made me stay up late again. If I had to re-enlist, I could sleep at 10 p.m., but now I think I’m just choosing not to sleep.”
When he can’t sleep, his mind drifts into quirky territory:
“I try to think of nothing, but end up thinking things like, ‘What if a rhino’s heart got stuck in me? Would I die in one second? Could I last about 10 seconds?’”
making the staff burst into laughter.
Addressing why he doesn’t use perfume, V revealed,
“Since middle school, I’ve used body lotion every day, and I don’t like mixing scents.”
He also showed sunglasses, playfully asking staff if they wanted them, and pulled out his iPad, which had a donkey illustration as the wallpaper.
“I like it because it looks like me. I put it on the table when I eat and watch OTT content — basically, I watch everything.”
Finally, V shared a touching moment from attending his bandmates’ concerts:
“I cried at Hobi hyung’s concert. I teared up alone during the part where he sang with Jungkook. I didn’t tell anyone because I was embarrassed.”
Fans are loving the mix of V’s heartfelt stories and his playful, unique personality, with many calling the video “peak Taehyung.
