BTS’s Jungkook is proving once again that his solo hit Standing Next to You is here to stay — even nearly a year after its release.

According to the latest UK Official Chart (August 8–14), the 2023 track has re-entered the Official Physical Singles Chart at #75, marking a total of 33 weeks on the chart. At its peak, the song climbed as high as #2.

Originally debuting at #6 on the UK Official Main Singles Chart Top 100 in November 2023, Standing Next to You held its spot there for 11 weeks. It also reached #1 on the Official Singles Downloads Chart and #2 on the Official Singles Sales Chart, both personal bests for Jungkook.

In 2023, Jungkook made history by becoming the first K-pop soloist to have four songs — Standing Next to You, Seven, 3D, and Too Much — chart on the UK Official Top 100 simultaneously for two straight weeks.

The single has sold over 200,000 units in the UK, earning Silver certification from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). Jungkook now holds a record five Silver-certified singles as a K-pop soloist (Standing Next to You, Seven, 3D, Left and Right, GOLDEN), the most for any Korean solo artist.

In the U.S., Standing Next to You debuted at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained there for 19 weeks. It also topped both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts, spending 47 and 55 weeks on each, respectively. On Spotify, the song has surpassed 1.26 billion streams as of August 12.

The track has earned critical and industry recognition as well. It won “Most Performed Songs of the Year” at the 2025 BMI Pop Awards, and its Usher Remix was ranked #1 on The Honey Pop’s “Top 5 Best K-Pop Collabs of 2024.” The Grammys praised it as “a timeless hit that will transcend eras for years to come,” and the Los Angeles Times placed it in their “100 Best Songs of 2023” list.

With chart records, streaming milestones, and critical acclaim, Standing Next to You continues to prove why Jungkook remains one of the most dominant forces in global pop.
