BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) melted fans’ hearts with an emotional Weverse Live, sharing stories about his military service, his current activities, and just how much he misses ARMY.
Currently in the U.S. working on BTS’s upcoming album, V surprised fans with a voice-only live broadcast.
After greeting everyone with a warm “good morning,” he excitedly talked about his new W magazine cover shoot, saying, “I had a lot of fun shooting it this time,” and hinted that more photoshoots are on the way.
When asked about his recent nights, V revealed he had enjoyed a glass of wine before bed — a habit he said he picked up after the military.
“Usually, people enlist in their early twenties, but I joined later. Before enlisting, I barely drank, but in the military, you start craving just one drink. Male ARMY who’ve served will understand,” he said with a laugh.
Addressing concerns about his slightly husky voice, V reassured fans, “I record every day, so my voice is like this in the mornings. I’m not sick, so don’t worry.”
Then came one of the most touching moments of the live. When a fan wrote, “I miss you,” V responded with a heartfelt, “I miss you too… honestly, I feel really sorry."
He added, "ARMY waited for so long — during my military service and even before that — and we couldn’t give you concerts or new albums right away after discharge. I’m really sorry about that.”
He went on to assure fans that he’s working hard for them. “Do you think only ARMY misses me? I miss you too! It’s mutual. That’s why I do all these little things to show it,” he said warmly.
V ended the live on a playful note, joking that he’d turn on his camera in a suit if fans dramatically claimed, “If I don’t see your face today, something bad might happen to me,” sending laughter through the fandom.
