Sunmi is officially coming back with a bold new concept — and fans are already hyped!
On August 7, Sunmi dropped a teaser titled "Sunmi Comeback Trailer: Bass(ad)" on her official YouTube channel, confirming her long-awaited return on August 26 at 6 PM KST.
In the video, Sunmi turns heads with a daring new look — short golden-blonde hair, smoky eye makeup, a white tube top, oversized denim jacket, and high heels. She also personally plays the bass guitar in the teaser, giving fans a taste of the strong sound and edgy concept that may be coming.
The heavy bass line, played by Sunmi herself, hinted at a powerful transformation, and reminded many fans of her Wonder Girls "Reboot" era — where she first showcased her connection with the bass guitar. The nostalgic vibe added to the excitement, especially when the comeback date flashed on screen: "2025.08.26 18:00 KST".
This marks her first new release in over a year, following her digital single Balloon in Love, which was released in June 2024.
Known for hit tracks like Gashina, Heroine, Noir, LALALAY, pporappippam, Tail, and Stranger, Sunmi has always delivered catchy melodies with eye-catching concepts.
