BTS’s V and actor Park Bo Gum just proved again that their friendship is the real deal!
On August 1, the final episode of KBS 2TV’s The Seasons – Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile aired, and fans were touched by a surprise video message from V, showing just how close the two stars are even after 10 years of friendship.
The special final episode was titled “Bo Gum Day Night is Nice”, wrapping up the show’s five-month journey. Park Bo Gum shared heartfelt words, saying, “Tonight’s final guest is all of you. Thanks to the viewers and audience who loved Cantabile, we were able to finish this journey.”
Then came the unexpected moment — BTS’s V appeared on screen with a special message.
“Hello, this is BTS’s V,” he said warmly. “I heard today is the last episode of Cantabile, so I wanted to send this video. Bo Gum hyung asked me, ‘Taehyung-ah, when will you come out?’ but I’m currently in the U.S. working on our next BTS album, so I couldn’t make it. I’m really sad about that.”
He continued, “To everyone who supported Cantabile, I hope your time with Bo Gum hyung was meaningful. We’ll be back next spring with a new BTS album, so please look forward to it. I’ll work hard. Thank you!”
Fans were especially touched to see how sincere and supportive the two are toward each other.
V and Park Bo Gum have been close friends since 2015 when they met on Music Bank, where Bo Gum was the MC. V once said in an interview, “Bo Gum hyung and I exchanged numbers, found out we liked the same things, and got close.”
Over the years, they’ve made many memories together — from going on a Jeju Island trip, Bo Gum cheering on BTS in Hong Kong, to celebrating birthdays with heartfelt messages. Bo Gum once wrote, “Taehyung-ah, who was born to be loved, happy birthday,” melting fans' hearts.
Most recently, they appeared together as brand ambassadors at the Celine fashion show in July, once again showing off their strong bond.
Fans are now hoping the two besties will appear on a show together one day — maybe even performing or hosting side by side!
