Lee Hyori is melting hearts once again with her honest and touching words about her husband, Lee Sang Soon.
On the July 27 episode of JTBC’s “Hyeja’s Garden More Beautiful Than Heaven,” the legendary singer appeared alongside veteran actress Kim Hye Ja, and the two stars shared a deep and heartfelt talk about life, love, and marriage.
During their conversation, Lee Hyori brought up Kim Hye Ja’s past appearance on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block.” She said, “I saw when you talked about your late husband. You said he even wrote the Chinese characters on condolence envelopes before he passed away. That part really stayed with me.”
Lee Hyori then opened up about her own love life, saying, “I’ve been married for 11 years now. Before I met my husband, I liked having fun and dated a lot, but after marriage, he became so precious to me. I realize it even more as time goes on.”
She added sincerely, “Sometimes I think, ‘How would I live without my husband?’”
Kim Hye Ja responded warmly, “That’s why couples should pass away at around the same time.”
Lee Hyori smiled and said, “That would be so nice. It’s rare to see people talk about their husbands so fondly when they get older. Seeing you talk about your husband made me feel happy—and honestly, a little jealous too.”
Lee Hyori went on to express how grateful she feels, saying, “Meeting Lee Sang Soon was a true blessing. If I had married someone immature or not right for me, it could’ve really changed my life. I’m thankful I ended up with someone who’s so sincere and steady.”
She closed by saying, “I’ve received so many blessings in life, and because of that, I want to share them with others too.”
Meanwhile,Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon tied the knot back in 2013, and they’ve been one of K-pop’s most beloved couples ever since.
