BLACKPINK is back at the top!
According to the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, BLACKPINK ranked No. 1 in the July 2025 Star Brand Reputation Rankings, followed by Lim Young Woong at No. 2 and BTS at No. 3.
The rankings were based on the analysis of over 253 million pieces of data collected from June 29 to July 29, 2025. This includes how much fans talked about them online, how often they appeared in the media, how engaged the public was, and more. Compared to June’s data, the total amount of buzz around stars dropped by 11.91%.

BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) saw an incredible 127% increase in their score compared to last month. Their total brand index hit 11,448,025, thanks to their world tour success and music chart dominance.
Meanwhile, solo star Lim Young Woong held onto 2nd place with a score of 7,619,247. His loyal fanbase, Hero Generation, and his kind donations helped him stay near the top.
BTS came in 3rd this month with 7,265,521 points, showing a big drop of 32.39% compared to June. Still, fans are getting excited about the group’s future activities once all members finish their military service.

What the experts say
Director Koo Chang Hwan of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute explained:
“BLACKPINK jumped to No. 1 with help from their world tour and strong music performance. Lim Young Woong held steady thanks to his fans and good deeds. BTS still makes headlines as people wait for their full return after military service.”
He also added:
“The total data in July was down 11.91% compared to June. Brand consumption dropped the most at 19.01%, followed by decreases in media, communication, and community engagement.”
Even with a drop in overall buzz, stars like BLACKPINK and PSY proved that strong performances and loyal fans can still shake up the rankings.
