IVE’s Ahn Yujin is once again taking the mic as the official MC of Gayo Daejeon Summer—and it’s her 4th year in a row!
On July 25, her agency Starship Entertainment confirmed, “Ahn Yujin will host the '2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer', happening on July 26 and 27 at KINTEX in Ilsan.”
This will be her fifth time hosting the popular event overall, and her fourth consecutive year doing it—proving she's not just a top idol but a reliable and loved MC as well.
Ahn Yujin first joined Gayo Daejeon as a host in 2022, and since then, she’s brought her smooth speaking skills and fun energy to every show. Her witty charm and professional attitude have made her one of the most recognizable faces of the event.
In a message shared through her agency, Ahn Yujin said,
“I’m so happy and thankful to be part of 'Gayo Daejeon' again this year. I’ll do my best to bring fun and good energy to the viewers during this hot summer.”
The IVE leader continues to shine as a true “hexagon idol”—an all-rounder who can sing, dance, act, and lead on stage or on screen. She’s also worked on soundtracks like the webtoon The Great, Disney’s animated film Wish, and the drama A Life of a Resident That Will Be Wise Someday. She even wrote lyrics for “Heroine” on IVE’s first full album, showing her skills as a songwriter too.
Outside of music, Ahn Yujin has made a big name for herself in variety shows. Her bold and hilarious presence in Earth Arcade 3—especially her signature “wide-eyed chaos” moments—won hearts of fans across generations. She also picked up the Female Variety Idol award at the 2025 Brand Customer Loyalty Awards.
Just recently, fans praised her for staying calm and collected when there was a sound issue during IVE’s stage at Lollapalooza Paris. Despite the glitch, she handled it like a pro and helped save the performance—earning major respect for her leadership and professionalism.
