BLACKPINK beats BTS and Lim Young Woong to take #1 in July’s brand ranking

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute just released its Singer Brand Reputation Rankings for July 2025, and the results surprised many fans.

From June 26 to July 26, the institute analyzed over 115 million pieces of data, checking each singer’s popularity in media, online communities, communication, and fan engagement. Compared to June’s numbers, the data volume increased by 7.87%, showing growing interest in K-pop stars.

And taking the top spot this time is none other than BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa), followed by BTS and Lim Young Woong in second and third.

1. BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK saw a huge rise in numbers thanks to their world tour and chart-topping songs, scoring a brand reputation index of 8,136,444 — a massive 85.83% jump from last month!

2. BTS
Even during their group break, BTS continues to dominate the charts and hearts of fans. With growing excitement for their full-group comeback, their index reached 7,609,655, up 5.33% from June.

3. Lim Young Woong
Returning with a full album after 3 years, Lim Young Woong impressed everyone, landing in 3rd place with a score of 5,804,110, up 3.04%.

4. PSY
The king of summer concerts is back! Thanks to his ‘Summer Swag’ tour, PSY took 4th place with a strong rise of 16.69% from last month.

5. IVE
Even with a slight drop, IVE stayed strong globally. Their score this month is 3,160,707, down just 2.78% from June.

Koo Chang Hwan, head of the research institute, shared:

BLACKPINK topped the list in July due to their world tour and digital all-kills. BTS took second with rising expectations for their reunion. Lim Young Woong came back strong with his new full album and placed third.”

He also said that brand talk increased in almost all areas:

“Brand consumption rose by 16.84%, media buzz increased by 12.46%, communication jumped 22.22%, but community spread dropped slightly by 11.04%.”

This ranking looked at over 100 artists, including:
BLACKPINK, BTS, Lim Young Woong, PSY, IVE, Red Velvet, SEVENTEEN, ILLIT, ITZY, TWICE, aespa, EXO, IU, NCT, LE SSERAFIM, BABYMONSTER, (G)I-DLE, and many more.
