Former SISTAR member Soyou is once again facing plastic surgery rumors after showing off a noticeably different look in her latest photos.
On July 23, Soyou posted on social media to promote her appearance on Invitation Seat: Into the Science of Orbits.
In the photo, she wore a white halter-neck dress that gave off both elegant and sexy vibes—but what really caught fans’ attention was her sharper jawline and slightly altered facial features.
This isn’t the first time fans started talking. Back on July 16, when Soyou dropped her digital single PDA and revealed new photo shoot pictures, people pointed out how slim she looked and how different her face seemed, which sparked even more plastic surgery talk.
Addressing the rumors, Soyou went live on Instagram on July 22 and explained that she had lost 10kg. “The last time I checked my weight, I was 52kg. I feel like I shouldn’t lose any more. I think I’ve been losing weight because it’s been hard,” she said honestly.
When fans commented that her eyes looked different, Soyou replied, “You think my eyes changed? Go check Soyou’s log. I already revealed that I had epicanthoplasty (inner corner eye surgery) before.”
She calmly responded to other speculations, like “Did she get her nose done?” or “Did she put filler in her lips?” saying, “I saw those reactions. I wondered, ‘Did I really change that much?’ But when I compared it to older pictures from Sad Brother, I really did lose a lot of weight.”
She added with a smile, “If people see me that way, I’m thankful. If they think I did my eyes, that just means I got prettier.”
And to clear things up even more, she said, “My double eyelids are natural. I was born with them—they came from inside my mom’s belly.”
Despite the ongoing speculation, Soyou’s confident and lighthearted response reminded fans that beauty comes in many forms—sometimes through hard work, and sometimes just naturally.
