Moonbyul from MAMAMOO is ready to return with brand-new music — and this time, she’s washing away emotions through a concept no one saw coming!

On July 24, her agency RBW officially announced, Moonbyul will release her 4th mini album titled ‘laundri’ on August 20. The album compares Moon Byul’s various emotions to the process of doing laundry.”

This marks her first Korean comeback in about a year, since her full-length repackage album Starlit of Twinkle : REPACKAGE dropped last August.

The new album title laundri is a clever twist on the word laundry — changing the “y” to “i” for a more unique and personal vibe. It will also include her pre-released digital single ICY BBY, which she shared back in June, giving fans a taste of her updated sound.

To hype up the release, Moonbyul also dropped a teaser video through MAMAMOO’s official social media. The mysterious clip shows someone — most likely Moonbyul — walking through a room filled with scattered clothes, then turning on a washing machine. The symbolic visuals are leaving fans curious about what kind of emotional story she’s preparing to tell.

Moonbyul has always stood out for her unique musical color. She’s known for her all-around talent in singing, rapping, songwriting, producing, and performing. Each of her solo releases brings something fresh, and laundri is shaping up to be no different.

She also recently wrapped up her first-ever solo world tour and held successful fan concerts in Tokyo and Osaka — proving her strong connection with fans around the world.

Moon Byul’s 4th mini album laundri is set to drop on August 20 at 6 PM KST on all major music platforms — so mark your calendars!
